Monotype Workshops
At the moment I have put a pause on my workshops from my studio - life is just a wee bit too busy! But I'm possibly available for arts groups to run an Introduction to Montoype workshop, so please do get in touch and if I can make it work I will! - it is such a fabulous way to work I love sharing the knowledge!
Introduction to Monotype
There are many different ways of creating a monotype, in my workshops we look at 2 of them, working with one colour, fabulous Prussian Blue & a hand bamboo burnisher no need for a printing press.
Spend the day with me in my studio & you will leave with the understanding of materials & skills to monotype easily transferable to your 'kitchen studio' at home.
No. 1: Monochrome Linear Monotypes – Placing Paper on an Inked up Slab and Drawing on the Reverse
No. 2: Painterly Monotypes – Painting the Image on the Slab
No previous experience is necessary, a disposition set to 'play' mono printing/monotype is very playful, loose & fun!
